Originally from the South Shore of Montreal, Chef Mathew Hampson developed his passion for cooking at an early age! Even before he started cooking classes at the age of 17, Mathew was already creating menus for his brother and sister. Having started his career 13 years ago, the chef has developed a simple but unique style inspired by French cuisine but also by seasonal products, he follows new trends but especially likes to propose recipes that you would not usually cook at home.
Mathew has had the opportunity to work in many different restaurants where he has developed his style and personality into the talented chef he is today. His cuisine brings together products that blend together naturally, it only remains to work them well by combining different textures and temperatures, bringing his style to each plate to make it interesting in the mouth. In love with the kitchen in its entirety, he particularly likes to see the world gathered around a good meal in a friendly atmosphere sharing a moment of happiness.

The story of the
Open since the summer of 2020, the restaurant Oskar is taking its place in the garden of the St-Sulpice hotel and is the worthy successor to the hotel’s former restaurant, thanks to a professional, friendly, but above all passionate team. The new restaurant offers a refined and luxurious space that guarantees its clientele a complete and unforgettable culinary experience.
